Reports To: Logistics Supervisor / Distribution Manager

Job Purpose

The Driver is responsible for transporting and delivering fast-moving consumer goods to various clients, distributors, and outlets. The role ensures timely, safe, and efficient delivery of products while maintaining proper documentation and adherence to company and traffic regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive company trucks to deliver FMCG products to designated destinations.

  • Ensure safe loading, handling, and offloading of goods.

  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.

  • Maintain accurate delivery records, delivery notes, and route logs.

  • Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules efficiently.

  • Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and compliant with road safety requirements.

  • Handle goods responsibly to avoid damage or losses.

  • Assist in verifying products during dispatch and delivery.

  • Observe all traffic rules and company driving policies.

  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.

  • Report accidents, delays, or incidents promptly to the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Valid driving license with at least 3 classes (e.g., CM, CH, DL, or others as required to operate trucks).

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in professional driving, preferably in FMCG distribution or logistics.

  • Experience driving trucks and handling delivery operations.

  • Ability to read and interpret delivery documents.

  • Good knowledge of road safety regulations.

  • Physically fit and able to lift or assist with goods when required.
