Purpose

Info Code Consults Ltd is seeking a skilled Motor Vehicle Mechanic with expertise in fleet supervision to join its dynamic team. The role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles, overseeing fleet maintenance operations, and ensuring efficiency, safety, and reliability across the company’s fleet.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues.

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure fleet reliability and safety.

  • Manage inventory of spare parts and workshop supplies, ensuring timely procurement.

  • Schedule, supervise, and monitor fleet servicing and maintenance sessions.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, and overall vehicle conditions.

  • Collaborate with fleet management to implement effective operational policies and procedures.

  • Provide training and supervision to junior mechanics and drivers on vehicle care and safety practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (formal training in motor vehicle mechanics preferred).

  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as a motor vehicle mechanic, with prior experience in fleet management an added advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and modern repair techniques.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in motor vehicle mechanics is preferred.

  • Experience: At least 3 years of proven work experience as a motor vehicle mechanic, with hands-on exposure to fleet management or supervision.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive systems (mechanical, electrical, and electronic), diagnostics, and repair techniques.

  • Skills:

    • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and modern workshop practices.

    • Strong problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork and client interaction.

    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure.

  • Other Requirements:

    • Ability to maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.

    • Capacity to train and guide junior mechanics and drivers.
